Shot in the palace of chinoiserie that is the Brighton Pavilion. It was the beginning of my fascination with the exquisite oriental hand painted wallpapers here and in the modern copies manufactured by de Gournay.
On a technical note, I weep for the loss of my favourite all-time film, cross processed Kodak EPD (a transparency film rated at 200ASA) in the 4×5 format. It could render soft light and delicate colours with the subtlest of punches. This was one of the very first films to disappear in Kodak’s retreat from silver based processes, .
